Please, trust me I am a moron . But not a complete moron haha!
Hi again -
Please note that we that have posted, or nobody else here thinks that you are being silly and that you do not understand.
I have even asked one of the experts to look at this, and they are sure that the advised steps were correct so far.
Note that
techsupp has posted the same link that I left earlier from Microsoft and these are the usual methods that we give.
Have you used this method yet ?
Use the hidden $NtServicePackUninstall$ folder loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation');
- Click Start, click Run, type c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe in the Open box, and then click OK.
- When the Windows XP Service Pack 3 Removal Wizard starts, click Next.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to remove Windows XP SP3.
If this fails please now read on -
Do you have a XP CD and do you know what version it is (SP1 , SP2 , SP3) or was this purchased preinstalled.
We can run several checks if you do have the CD, or another CD to match. I have also failed to ask if this is XP Pro or XP Home version.
Thank You.
EDIT - Sorry I just read it was XP Pro version
