computer running slow and making noise from fan and hard drive and pages loading slower than usual. Main problem is that search engine links only redirect me to ads and random pages for services. Searched for all the common worms and trojans and found nothing. Some of the processes seem suspicious though and the amount of CPU being used is unusually high as well.

• Disable your Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools
  
  
• Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
  
  
• As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
  
  
• Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.
  
  
• Some Rookit infection may damage your boot sector. The Windows Recovery Console may be needed to restore it. Do not bypass this installation. You may regret it.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Your version of Java is outdated and needs to be updated to take advantage of fixes that have eliminated security vulnerabilities.
Updating Java:

So it looks like clearing out the router did it as I am not getting redirecting but I went ahead and followed your instructions anyway and ran the two scanners, Here are the results, thank you so much for all your help.

As far as the redirecting, yes all seems good. My computer has however crashed twice after the screen got all grid like with multi colored boxes that looked like code. I ran a boot scan with avast and deleted a file in system or win32 that was known as "winfax" was that a mistake or is something else causing the crashing?

Leave it there in case you need it to run a program.

Next time you are not sure about deleting a file just change the name with a .OLD extension.

Like this myprogram.exe rename it myprogram.exe.old.

If you then find that your need it just rename it back to it's original name.

It is not in the recycle bin, I tried to just move it to "my vault" and isolate it but the Avast said file could not be moved and kept asking me what to do and it would not allow me to ignore, delete was the only option that finally let me boot up.

Can you boot to Safe Mode with internet connection?
