When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

So I have been fighting what seems to be the google redirect virus for a whole night, to no avail.

I've tried everything in this thread: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic412458.html
I have also tried running Microsoft Security essentials.

There is one MAJOR nasty complication to this problem. Every time an antivirus program asks me to reboot, windows fails to boot, instead giving me the chance to run a client to fix start up. Of course this fails, and I am prompted to run recovery.

Then I am basically stuck recovering to a point before my antivirus program existed.

To make matters worse, vanilla windows wont load AT ALL. When it loads to the recovery, it just loads an empty black screen with a pointer. I have to reboot again at that point, and the only way to get the computer to do anything at all is to run safe mode with networking.

Please guys, this thing is driving me nuts, and frankly I'm a little worried now that regular windows wont boot.

thanks for your time reading this!

I hope I'm not breaking a rule, but I thought I'd bump my post as it seems to be overlooked...

If there is some log or something crucial like that, that is holding me back please let me know.
I realize that there is an utter flood of riderect posts right now, so I am not at all offended.

Just trying to make sure I wasn't lost in the jumble :)
