Hi this is my first post here so I hope I explain things clearly.
My system HP HDX Premium laptop windows vista home premium plenty of Hdd space and memory
The problem ; When I open a folder that has camera raw files in windows explorer shuts down along with my desktop and it restarts. This is only happening with this tpye of file
if the folder contains any other file type it's fine. Also happens on external drive.I can view them using adobe bridge without a problem .Run a number of antimalware programs
and anti virus did a restore to an earlier date before this problem but still it happens.I hope someone can help as I don't want to have to reformat and reinstall vista.
Thankyou

Take a look, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927530 .

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Understanding-picture-file-types, see Can I Use RAW Pictures In Windows.

I would also take a look at the file extensions...and see if there is a designated program for opening/viewing .raw files.
