I want to do a remote access, and I copied all the numbers down like the instructions above... but I'm so ignorant I don't know what to DO with them...please help...? anyone? I'm running win2k at home, and need to get to some files in my office computer running XPpro. I left it on for the weekend. Max3808 |

You need to have the following info or steps completed:
1. Remote desktop enabled on your xp computer 2. Know the ip address of your xp computer 3. Make sure no firewall is blocking tcp/udp port 3389 on your XP computer Then you just need to download the remote desktop client to your windows 2000 computer, install it, run it, and input the ip address from above and press connect. The only way to tell is to check your firewall/router config or test it from outside.
