Hey all.

I used to make custom maps for Call of Duty using a free program. Lately I've been wanting to take a crack at level design again and I've been wondering what programs I should look at. Responses appreciated.

It depends on what game you want to design levels for. If you can find the SDK for the game you want, use that. Otherwise create your models in blender or some other modeling program and google "Creating Custom Levels in GAME_NAME", that is how I would go about it.
