One of my PC's is running 98SE.
When I double-click on the IE icon on the desktop, I get the little box pops up. The top line is blank, then it says is not a valid win32 application The weird thing is, if I right-click on the icon and select Open it starts up OK. Not a major problem but very annoying.
Second thing, if I click on a link on some sites, I get nothing happening and Error on page in the bottom left of the status bar. These are java links that it seems to be happening, where a little pop-up box should pop up.
It's IE6. I've run the Internet Explorer Repair Tool twice (in System Information).
I've set java to Medium in Security.
I've done Start > Run and all of these:
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll
Any other suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks for the reply. I'll give that a go. One thing, that page relates to IE 4.0. Will I be able to do the same for IE 6.0?
Thanks
Thanks
