Here is a direct download link for ImgBurn:

Mirror 7 - Provided by ImgBurn

Download and install, and you should have ImgBurn running after the installation, and it will show up in your list of Programs.

I am not 100% sure ... but it may be that you need to use a CD rather than a DVD disk to write to.

Hmmmm ... in that case, something is not quite right.

We may need to do this one step at a time to find out what is causing you this current grief.

Please detail fully and exactly what you are seeing at your end.

With ImgBurn open you click on "Write image file to disc". Correct?
When you navigate to and select the source file, what do you then see under "Source"?
What do you see under "Destination"? Is it correct? Do you have only the one optical drive (CD/DVD burner)? It is a burner and not just a player? What message if any, are you seeing when the CD is ejected?

Ok I open ImgBurn, I click browse and select the file SeaToolsDOS223ALL, however it does not give me the option to burn
that part is greyed out. heres a screen shot.
when I open 'my computer' and go to DVD RW Drive E, the cd gets ejected and I get the error shown

The ImgBurn window looks fine. It will be "greyed out" until you insert a suitable disk to write to. Supposedly, all you need to do now is put in a suitable CD. What exactly is the CD that you are trying to use to write to? Is it a new blank CD-R?

I don't know why you have the My Computer window open ... nor why you have the "Format disk" window showing. Clearly you do not wish to, and nor can you format the CD. Close all that stuff.

It seems you were able to successfully burn the .ISO image to CD with ImgBurn. Good.

Leave the CD in the tray ... and now continue with the directions to boot from the CD and run SeaTools.
  • Shut down the computer
  • Wait 30 seconds
  • Start the computer and boot from the CD.
