Hey guys,

I just bought this printer for my home business. I have a computer downstairs and a computer upstairs and wanted to be able to print wirelessly from both. I dont have a network setup between the computers, but both computers do share the same internet from the wireless router.

I have installed the printer and I can get it to print when i connect the usb cable, but the computer will not find the printer wirelessly.

I think the problem is either that i have maybe entered the incorrect information when asked for network details etc etc.

I tried to get into myrouter setup details by accessing www.routerlogin.net but it seems i have forgotten the password...

You defiantly need to connect the printer to the SAME wireless network that the PC's use.

Did you try the deault password for your router? On most Netgears it is un: admin / pw: password

If you have forgotten your Router's password you can reset the router, BUT it would require you to re-setup the entire network.

The SSID is the broadcast name of the wireless network. Do you know that?

I understand that the printer needs to be connected to the same network.

When you say network do you mean an actual network between the computers or are you referring to wireless internet?

I have no network set up, I just have wireless internet and I assumed that the computers would be able to communicate with the printer through the wireless router, or is this not possible?

I have managed to get into my router setup with the username and pass you gave me, and i know the ssid and the password for connecting to the internet.

The settings that I have no idea about are the ones in the 2nd picture that i posted in my opening post....

Fixed it - the problem was that my router has 2 different networks, one high spped wireless n, and one lower speed wireless g, so I set the printer to connect to the lower speed ssid and it worked.
