When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

I have been having some fake antivirus pop-ups, normally I run anti-malware, spybot search and destroy, and finally combo fix. Usually this works great for me. This time though, combo fix tells me I need to stop avg before running it. I've tried unistalling avg through add/remove programs, and through the startup menu. Nothing has worked. I even downloaded a program called avg remover.. And it didn't work either!

I'm not really looking for virus removal help, just some suggestions on how to remove avg completely.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You shouldn't be running Combofix on your own.

As for AVG removal run AVG Remover: http://www.avg.com/us-en/utilities
