BleepingComputer.com: Internet Keeps Disconnecting

Ive got a laptop and a pc wired to a router. Lately the pc keeps disconnecting from the internet ~ anywhere from 30 seconds up to a couple of minutes at a time. It's getting really annoying because it's happening with increasing frequency. The laptop though is fine, even when the pc is offline for a minute or so the laptop is able to surf the net without issue.

Could it be a bad cable? The router? MB?? The graphics card seems to be dying a slow death can this be the issue?

Any info would be appreciated!

(Both machines running xp home edition SP3)

Is the pc loosing the network connection or just the ability to access the internet? In the system tray does it say limited or no connectivity or network connection lost?

Actually I'm confident it was the a bad cable. Replaced with another and have had no issues since.
