Hi everyone,

Desperately hoping someone can solve this issue for me!

IE shuts down without warning ... If I try to login to anything like hotmail, eBay etc., or view something it shuts down and with general browsing, it also shuts down randomly. Initially I got an error message that Internet explorer has encountered a problem and must shut down but I don't get that message anymore.

I have scoured the Internet for answers and have tried disabling all add-ons which seemed to be the solution for most people with this issue. I have scanned my computer with norton, super antis heard which hasn't been successful. I have all the current updates installed and have tried restoring my pc to an earlier point. I have also tried firefox but the same problems occur.

I am truly at my wits end now as I don't know what else to try and am hoping for some help!

I have IE 8 and vista. I also tried installing IE 9 but had the same problems so uninstalled the new version.

Thanks in advance!!!

Hello let's reset Internet Explorer settings and see if that does it.

To reset Internet Explorer settings automatically,go HERE click the Posted Image button. Then just follow the prompts in the Fix it wizard.

Hi boopme,

Many thanks for your reply .. Unfortunately, it didn't work :(

Even to reply to your post, I've had to go on my iPad to reply - as soon as I entered in my member details on my laptop and hit enter , IE just shut down.

Please, please does anyone else any other suggestions at all?

Thanks!
