There is no 1700FX chipset for the Radeon series. The Radeon 6000 series uses the Northern Islands chip. Both are labeled 6870, which means they have that at their core, however, they be slightly overclocked or have a different bundle. It is still a 6870 regardless.

You don't really need 8GB of ram, 4GB is fine.
