Hi -
I have been looking for the Tutorial on using DDS in the Tutorial section, and it seems not to be there -
This would be a good new subject for learners and those of us just wanting to check on entries -

The BleepingComputer HJT Tutorial is considered about the best on the web, but a DDS Tutorial would add to section greatly -
I know that G2G have a very good tutorial on OTL, but the only DDS link I can find is via Hack Forum and it is now locked -
This was once on Support Forum but is no longer available through them ? ?

Any ideas or other links would be great , Thanks -

those tools have no tutorial and should not be used by the untrained.

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

I do understand that , but then HJT can be more dangerous in untrained hands , as it can fully delete programs. Unless you know how to always back them up prior to attempting to delete something ? ?
DDS is just a "Read Only" tool B) , (Don't Do Squat) or words to that effect where HJT and OTL have the option to remove installed programs :o -

HJT and OTL do have open tutorials on their basic uses (here or G2G) -

Thanks for the reply -

This is up to the tool developer. In case of DDS, the developer has not given his consent for a public tutorial.

Thank you Elise -

I have since been told this, and I left the thread alone after I found this information.
