When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

I get this windows xp security virus once a month it seems....always able to use rkill and fixncr.reg, run malwarebytes and be done with it. Now, I cannot run any anti spyware program. I can get them to start, but they just close themselves out about 20 seconds after running.

I am running windows xp professional.

I have tried running, malwarebytes, super anti-spyware, and macafee. All do the same thing.

I guess combo fix is in order??

Thanks for responding, but that is the first hing I did...no luck.

I deleted the old malwarebytes off my computer. I successfully re installed and updated. But as soon as I run the program...it closes itself after 5 seconds.

Did you run rKill first?
Did you run rKill and MBAM from safe mode?

yes and yes.

xp security 2012 is gone.

according to combofix, I have a rootkit "zero.access"

That's a serious rootkit.

With the information you have provided I believe you will need help from the malware removal team.
Please make sure that you read the information about getting started first.
Then start a new thread HERE and include or required logs.
Including a link to this thread will be helpful.
