Hello, just wondering, I like kaspersky av but with this newest version, it seems to slow my puter down.
i am running a toshiba satellite a305 Vista and core 2 DUO at 2ghz. kaspersky version 11.0.1.400
now i dont mean it is slow when kaspersky is running in the back ground doing a scan,
i mean when i am just surfing going to a website. kaspersky wants to scan the websites. and i turned that function off, the web antivirus scanner, i turned that off, and it seemed to help. but still in task manager i see the avp.exe*32 is working in the back ground quite a bit.

so any thoughts how to get kaspersky to stay out of the way more with out putting the puter in harms way from a nasty?

or any one recommend an av they like better?

I don't use Kaspersky but it is a very good anti-virus. If no one else replies with suggestions, you may want to check the Kaspersky Home User Documentation for your version and look for information on optimizing your settings.
