BleepingComputer.com: RAM Upgrade

I have a GA-MA770T-UD3P (rev. 1.0) Motherboard and am trying to upgrade my RAM.

My original plan was to buy some of this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231311. But I am not sure if it is compatible with my Motherboard. My motherboard support 10600 but does not mention 10666 which is what the RAM is (based on the Crucial System Scan). Do you have any suggestions for RAM or will this work?

This ram should fully work since it is in the memory support list.

The problem with the link you gave me, is that I want to upgrade to a 16gb system. My Motherboard only has 4 memory slots so the most I could get with the RAM you posted would be 8. Even then, it would be more expensive than the set I previously linked to.

Perhaps we can start with this: What does the number mean? PC3 10600, PC3 10666 etc. What do they represent and do they factor in to ability to fit in your system or the speed of it?

Both RAM kits mentioned will work. A motherboard needs RAM of a certain speed, however, faster RAM past that will also work since the motherboard will simply downclock it to the highest supported speed. PC3 10666 is pretty much used to show speed, which is DDR3-1333. Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 is also RAM that will work, as will Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600. Unless you are overclocking, stick with DDR3-1333 RAM.
