When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

My operating system is Windows XP 2002 Service Pack 3 V.3264, Ver 5.1.2600 using automatic updates (system is up to date)- I use several Yahoo email addresses and contacts - I tend not to open anything flaky but my partner has no such inhibitions.

On start up I have McAfee desktop firewall tray

About a month plus ago various persons got in touch with me to advise that they were receiving emails from me that were gibberish - from those that were returned it would appear that the original emails to and cc's were being used to send what appears to be gibberish - others appear to be sundr random contacts with attachments - this is the content of one such

The problems appear to be getting worse

Has anyone any ideas how to go about cleaning up this issue?

I've asked a mod to move this to the appropriate forum. Please wait for a malware specialist to respond.

You should also get rid of McAfee and replace it with ANY other av utility. McAfee products are the worst.

Welcome aboard Posted Image

First of all, are those spam messages listed in Yahoo's "Sent" folder?
