My budget for the new computer is: $1,000

What are the primary uses for this computer (IE: mail, web browsing, programming, games, etc)?
Facebook, Skype, some games, facebook games, youtube, and email.

What software do you intend on using on the computer?
Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Elements.

Do you play games? If so, what type of games?
Sometimes not much. Just need to play games at a minor level.

Do you tend to have a lot of programs running at the same time, or do you close every program when you are done using it?
Multasting is what I need.

Do you store a lot of pictures or music on the computer?
Yes

This is what the computer has to include in the price. Shipping is included with this price. The rest of the computer with all of this software and accessories must be over $1,000 altogether with shipping. I do not have any extra parts.

Do you mean to say that your budget is only $360 for the PC itself? That will not be a good system at all.

First of all, you don't need the complete tool kit. A Philips-head screwdriver is all you need. Just remember to touch the metal chassis before working with parts.
Do you really need the usb hub, extension cable, and extra SATA cables?
Openoffice is a good free alternative to Microsoft Office. I've never had a need to buy Microsoft Office.
Here is a better card reader. Koutech IO-RCM621 $19.99

Changing the above will give you a budget of over $500.

You don't need the full tool kit, you also most likely don't need an extra SATA cable as it is included. You are really going to have to slim down your list to get something decent.

Case: GIGABYTE gz-ph1a3 Black SGCC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - It's dirt cheap, but will do. $20

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-A75-D3H FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard - This allows for AMD's new APU's with graphics built into the CPU. $119

CPU: AMD A8-3850 Llano 2.9GHz 4MB L2 Cache Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU - This is the new APU AMD has. It's essentially a Phenom II X4 blended with a Radeon 6550. $139

PSU: CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 V2 600W - This is more than enough power from a good manufacturer. $69 (Before $10 mail-in rebate)

RAM: Patriot Gamer 2 Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 - This is a single 4GB stick of RAM, if you are doing any video or memory-intensive photo editing, I would get two of these. $34

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Green WD5000AADS 500GB - A simple hard drive. $49

Optical Drive: Sony Optiarc CD/DVD Burner Black SATA Model AD-7260S-0B - ...a basic DVD drive. $20

OS: This is included with your list.
