windows XP Forgotten admin password

I havent used my desk top in a while forgot my password to my settings. I am the admin.
Is there a way I could get around the password and reset a new pasword. Other users are unprotected I do have access to other users log.I just cant get to my stuff. Using windows XP

Reason for edit: Moved from Win 7 to XP.
