BleepingComputer.com: Symantec vs McAfee vs Trend Micro

Hello everyone.

My company is currently reviewing our security and trying to decide which Anti Virus to go with with out next upgrade which will be later this year. My company has about 150 employees. We are currently using the latest version of Endpoint and are very dissatisfied. At least twice a week, I have to remove a "Fake Anti Virus" virus from someone's machine (such as XP AntiVirus 2012). All of the fake antivirus viruses seem to get through our firewall.

We are currently looking at the enterprise level for McAfee, Trend Micro, and Symantec (which has not pleased us as of late). I am looking for some advice and input on this. For 2012, which protection suit would you go with? Which one is more likely to stop the fake anti viruses?

My suggestion for your business is same thing I tell home users. It may be a bit more complicated for business users but is something to think about.

Your company could try the trial versions of the products you are considering, if they have trial versions.

That would give you time to evaluate the product to see if it works for you.
