Microsoft is releasing free software to owners of Genuine Windows XP operating system owners (i.e. legitimate copies) in an effort to combat piracy. It does involve participating in the Windows Genuine Advantage pilot program which means validating your software either through the installation of an ActiveX control or an alternate method (which I did not use, I just installed the ActiveX). The Photo Story 3 is a pre-release version, the fun pack hasn't been released yet, and the link to the calculator is on the bottom of the page the above link takes you to.
