I don't think anything is using proxies at the moment, just checked and couldn't find any.

something is causing applications to listen on local host. Is your firewall on?

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

I only use Windows Firewall and Avast, they're both on.

Try disabling Avast.

I disabled avast's "shields" but the connections are still being made from AvastSvc, shall I end the process altogether?

Disable the services via Services.msc or Services in Administrative Tools.

That's got rid of all but the connections made by 1 from UNS.exe, 2 from svchost.exe and 1 from PnkBstrA.exe.

The other processes that were connecting those addresses as well.
