Slow Printer Printer is slow with router

I use Windows Vista and have a new router, ASUS RT-N16.
My printer (Lexmark 3430) prints very slowly through the router.
My USB Mass Storage device has a code 10, driver cannot start.
I can't clear it.
Can't find any help with the printer
Any ideas anyone???
