Video Card Going Out?

Hi guys, lately my desktop computer has been doing this (see the image below). If I move the plug up or down it changes colors from blue to red but it still remains just a bunch of jumbled stuff on the screen. I have tried using another monitor and I have gotten the same problem. I have an nVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT video card with a DVI plug in. That monitor is VGA but I have a VGA to DVI adapter (however, it was also doing this with a DVI-only monitor). Can anyone tell me what's going on with it or how to fix it? Is the video card just going out?

Have you tried updating to the latest driver?

I haven't, no, since I can't get any kind of display to work.

Nah, I thought of that too but it's the only desktop in the house.

do you have another video card, or an integrated one on the motherboard?

I see you have the case open. So have you been have problems with high temp? As this is a common problem with over heating. Moving the cable shouldn't cause any problems unless the connector are loose. Try taking the Video card out and re-seating it, insure it's screwed down also insure that the connectors are tight. Also use a can of Air to blow any dust Bunny's out. Listen to your Fan on the graphics card to see if it making any funny noises, also look and see if its running.
