You need to run this from within xPUD as instructed, this will not run inside windows. :)

Quote

A Welcome to xPUD screen will appear
Press File
Expand mnt
sda1,2...usually corresponds to your HDD
sdb1 is likely your USB
Click on the folder that represents your USB drive (sdb1 ?)
Confirm that you see driver.sh that you downloaded there
Press Tool at the top
Choose Open Terminal
Type bash driver.sh
Press Enter
After it has finished a report will be located on your USB drive named report.txt

Elise,

I still was'nt able to do it. I was able to download this noahdfear but how could I download it in my USB using xPUD? you mean with a browser?
Also, I don't know how to boot my laptop. I am very sorry, I really know nothing about computers.... if we could simplify this a bit then perhaps I could do it better? thanks Elise.

Josh

Lets try this a bit differently. If you don't understand a step, no worries, just ask, that is what I'm here for. :)

First, Please download GrantPerms.zip and save it to your desktop.
Right click on this file and select "extract/unzip files". You will get a dialog box asking you where to save the file to be extracted. Choose your desktop as destination and click extract/unzip. You will now have a file named GrantPerms.exe on your desktop. Double click to run it and click OK for any security warning you see.
Copy and paste the following in the edit box:

"%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe"

Click Unlock. When it is done click "OK".

Now click Start > Run, type combofix /killall and press enter. Let me know if it will run like that.
regards, Elise

You need to have a space between combofix and /killall. :)

This is for your sick computer. Can you tell me where combofix.exe is saved (is it on your desktop or in a download folder)?
