Every monday I will be driving up to college about an hour away from where I live. I will be waiting outside the class room til my girlfriend gets out. So while I wait I'm reading a Help Desk Support book for my online class. I keep getting distracted by everyone outside. I got an IPOD Nano for Christmas and I want to listen to some music. What do you think is good reading music?

Anything METAL...... devildriver, lamb of god, marilyn manson, meshugga, coal chamber, mudvayne, slipknot, skindred, hatebreed, rammstein, disturbed........

Ok, so maybe metal isn't the best music to sit down and read a book to......

I do love metal music but it definately isn't something I can listen to while reading. Maybe I'm just not a true metal fan.

I also think anything without lyrics is good for reading (including classical). Personally, I like Symphonic Rock/New Age (Yanni), eccept that I get too obsessed with the music that I start whistling instead of reading...that's just me, though.

Also, songs with lyrics in a language you don't understand works (for me). In that respect, I will listen to metal/hardcore industrial while reading.

I have Mutter and Reise, Reise. I got them both from a friend, but Media Play sold them (before they closed). I don't know if the company went bankrupt, or if it was just the store near me...

An awesome choice, George Gershwin raised the bar on contemporary composition with this work. A true classic!
