Recently, when i would search using google, about half of the time I would get redirected to a Yahoo search error page. I never got redirected to any other websites, just the error page for yahoo. Thinking I might have the google redirect virus, I downloaded Malware-bytes. Upon re-opening firefox, I got a message from Malware-bytes saying the website was trying to redirect me and asking for permission to allow or not. I clicked do not allow. Since then, about half of the time I click on google links I am taken to a regular firefox error page, saying "The connection was reset".
I have run malware-bytes, Avast, Hitman Pro 3.5, and TDSSKiller. I also ran CCleaner. I also completely reset my wireless router, all to no avail. Malware-bytes and Hitman Pro 3.5 found and deleted viruses, but I am still having the same problem. Is this not the google redirect virus, but rather a problem with firefox or my wireless?
Thank you for any help!
Steve
