Posted Image Unfortunately, with the amount of logs we receive per day, the average response time is 5 days. I want to assure you, though, that your topic will be looked at and responded to. So please be patient.

Posted Image Only members of the Malware Response Team or Moderators are allowed to help people with logs. Anyone else should refrain from posting to another user's log.


Posted Image When posting a log please put the type of infection you have in the topic title. IE: Winfixer, Virtumonde, WinTools, WebSearch, Home Search Assistant, etc.


Posted Image Do not bump your topic. We try to resolve logs on a first come/first served basis. By bumping your log you will be pushed back in line due to the new date of your bump.

Can't access Windows Update after virus

I still can't access windows update on this machine. Windows update gives me the error 80070490, a corrupted file. It looks like windows needs repaired, or do you have a fix? Otherwise, thanks for all the help!

I'm still no able to access windows update. I get an error that a windows file is corrupt and re-install to fix it. I guess I'll have the PC owner do that unless you have a simpler fix.

I haven't seen this reply hit, so if it's duplicate, sorry. I still can't access windows update on this laptop. It says there is a corrupt file and to reinstall windows. I'll let the owner do that, unless you have a suggestion?
