BleepingComputer.com: Boot Hangs on Welcome Screen for 40+sec

Hey BC Agents!

My problem is when I boot my computer it will hang on the blue "Welcome" screen for 40+ seconds.

About 2 months ago it was INSTANT. And I'm pretty sure it's not because of new programs that I made start with the boot.
Because those programs don't even start to load until after explorer loads and I can SEE them one by one start-up.

RECENT INFORMATION:
Was helped by Agent ST who did a fantastic job cleaning my computer of the nasty TDL3? I think that's the name?
It was the google redirect rootkit hijacker. They also helped clean out so many other things I didn't know.
Now my computer runs great! Except during welcome screen start-up...

I've read all of the stickies that I'm supposed to and checked everything down to the teeth but even with bare bones
it seems that it still takes forever to get the computer started.

I would appreciate help! It feels like something is backwards in my start-up!

If that's the only problem I certainly wouldn't worry about it.

Okay no problem. It's just a minor thing. Do I need to do anything to close this topic?

Actually there is one more thing, might be just as trivial. But my main hard drive is 32%Fragmented. I can't get the defragmenter to last longer than 2 seconds.
It doesn't even move any files. It just runs and says "Some files could not be moved" But 32% is pretty significant right? I even tried using Auslogic's disk defragmenter but that does the same thing.

If it doesn't run...how do you determine that it's 32% fragmented?

The Windows defrag function doesn't/can't move every file, particularly some system files.

I used a downloaded defragmenter program that measured the fragmentation at 32%
However it seems my problem was related to the low space on my hard drive. I cleared some space and now it has little problem.
I would like to close this topic but I'm not sure how.
