Hi,
My computer is running Windows 7 Professional and I have Norton Security Suite installed. The control panel says that Norton's spyware protection and virus protection have both been turned off, and when I try to turn them back on, or start Norton directly, I get this message:
C:\Program Files\Norton Security Suite\Engine\4.3.0.5\uistub.exe
The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
I just recently downloaded and installed Firefox 5. Not sure whether or not it's related, but the timeline is close.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Connor

See the solution here. This is most likely not malware. }} L@@K
