Good day all! New here and in need of some help picking out a new computer.
I don't often purchase new comps, my current desktop is about 8 years old, so I would love something durable. I'd really like to go with a laptop for the portability. My girlfriend has a mac and I like that the touchpad can scroll the page if you use 2 fingers, if I can find that on a non-mac I would be pretty happy.

My budget for the new computer is:
I'd like to spend around $600 but I can probably go as high as $900, a couple options would be really nice.
What are the primary uses for this computer (IE: mail, web browsing, programming, games, etc)?
General web browsing, watching movies, gaming, downloading large files
What software do you intend on using on the computer?
nothing crazy. Firefox, VLC, assorted games, itunes
Do you play games? If so, what type of games?
WoW mostly. Would like to try out new things I definitely want the Star Wars mmo when it's available. Minecraft occasionally.
Do you tend to have a lot of programs running at the same time, or do you close every program when you are done using it?
If I'm online looking at things I tend to run a lot of stuff (multiple browser tabs, itunes, video files). If I'm playing a game I will usually close all of that, aside from itunes.
Do you store a lot of pictures or music on the computer?
No. I have an external hard drive that holds all of that.
Thanks a lot for any replies, it will be a big help.

Thanks a lot, seems to be what I'm looking for.
I saw this one below what you recommended in the "similar items" section.
Asus.
From what I can see, it's more or less the same thing, just $130 cheaper. So you have any opinion on it? I don't really know brand quality at all, so maybe the toshiba is better.

The differences i found was the Asus has a 7200rpm hard drive whereas the Toshiba has a 5400rpm hard drive. Also it looks pretty flimsy.
