When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Hi,

OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. I am unable to start the Security Center. I have tried changing the setting from disabled to automatic in safe mode, but when I revert to normal mode it is again disabled. Also I cannot start my anti-virus (Microsoft security Essentials.
I have (in both normal and safe mode) run Rkill followed by MBAW and Superantispyware, and I updated them both beforehand. Although infections were found and removed the problems still persist.
I've also run anti-rootkit software which again found problems and fixed them without fixing the overall issue. I cannot do a system restore because when I try I am told system protection is switched off, although when I go into it is is actually on.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?

I was able to resolve this myself, I ran Stopzilla which found 2 problems the others had missed, then I ran combofix. Everything seems fine again now.
