Hi. I have fitted a 160gb drive as slave to existing 4.2gb drive . earlier my RAM was increased from64 to 192mb. This has not cleared the problem of receiving awarning message "your memory is insufficient to use this program" or similar unwelcome message. How do I solve this problem please? Thanks

Hello Ian CH and welcome to BC.

Sounds to me like your C: drive is becoming full and not leaving enough space for your swap file. Can you tell us how much free space is on the 4.2GB drive? Can you move anything from the smaller drive to the larger drive to free up some space?
