Hello to fellow members. I found Bleeping Computer in 2010 when a guru helped me remotely fix a new Win7 computer. I've got a reasonably comfortable layman's knowledge of computers - mostly from having to fix the darn things at my workplace for the past 20 years. You learn quick when you're troubleshooting.

Anyway, I'm here now to help me figure out how to fix another Windows 7 Starter computer - a new HP Mini 210-2145DX. Its a travel computer with an apparent malware that kills applications trying to remove it. I may finally be having some luck, but will post a topic under the malware forum if not.

Thanks for being here. The resource is invaluable!
