When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

I just bought a new laptop, Toshiba. I haven't had much time yet to really set it up but I did install "microsoft security Essentials" on it, but now I have a really malicious virus called "windows diagnostic" on it. I knew enough after about 5 minutes to not download or buy the program. I've talked with a few people "geek sqad" at Best Buy and it sounds like they just manually delete it, however they want $200 for that but with that fee you get 1 years worth of Tech support, and Kaparsky anti-virus.

Has anyone had any experience with this virus?

A window pop up that says your "windows 7 has detected a IDE and Sata disk error" and goes on to look like it's scanning my system and coming up with all these warnings about critical hard driver error etc.

Any information would be helpful. Thanks
