BleepingComputer.com: ibuypower and cyberpower, reputation?

Hello all,

I am currently in the market for a new desktop computer, to use for some rts gaming, media center, and some photoshop and light video editing/processing. I'm looking to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of 750 to 1000 bucks. I've considered building my own computer but I'm neverous about getting the motherboard, cpu, and graphics card to all play nice. So I'm currently leaning twoards getting a prebuilt computer. I refuse to buy one from hp,dell..ect. But I will consider purchasing custom build computers. So I've been looking at cyberpower and ibuypower, there are some deals on the sites that look good, but I've heard alot of mixed reviews on various websites. So what is their reputation, is it worth considering purchasing a computer from them?

Based from people's review some models are good and some are bad due to the hardware which pretty much isn't there fault in a way.

I asked pretty much this same question a couple of years ago and I don't think anybody answered. Probably because they didn't know. I did a lot of digging online and found Cyberpower did not have very many people who are happy with the customer service. Didn't find much on ibuypower.

I went ahead and built a new one. I would suggest that for you too. If you have concerns or questions about the parts you've chosen, just ask on here. There are a ton of very knowledgeable people on here who love to help. Especially when someone is looking for a quality build.

Trust me, (I don't sell used cars) but it's very satisfying to build a computer, and watch it run because it's such a better computer than you can buy.

It's all about having confidence in doing it and the guts to do it
