Not really hot, but just a little warm, but I don't think it's beyond the norm.
Do you think it might be a good idea if I downloaded a temp monitoring program from "Download.com" ?
I really don't know what the correct temperature should be .
You're doing great by the way.

Hi Ron, because the computer hangs at random points, I think it would be a good idea to have your hardware checked out by a local repair shop. I'm not a hardware expert, but based on the symptoms I think there might be a problem with the motherboard.

When this first started I took it to CompUSA (the only game in town) and they did a diagnostic on it and said that it was a hard drive gone bad and the OS was not there any more.
So, I bought a new hard drive and they installed it. After about 2 days of it was doing the same thing again.
When I took it back it was the same thing about the OS not being there, and they re-loaded the OS (Vista 32 Home Premium) and installed all the updates and patches (SP1, SP2)
It was only 10 days later when it started doing it again.
They said that it probably was not the motherboard because there were no "melted or charred" connections as it would not work if it was the motherboard.
I don't know if that is true, but I updated the motherboard BIOS and all of the hardware that I could.
I hope you have more ideas or fixes in mind to help.
If it is the motherboard for real, then I don't know what I am going to do.

Best would be to start a topic about this problem in the Internal Hardware forum. Please make a mention of this topic so that the hardware experts know about it.

Sounds like a good idea Elise.
I will include the link to the beginning thread.
Do you have any specific ideas of what to highlight so that all will know what's what?
Or just start with explanation with a notation about what we have all ready covered?
Should I include the system information and blue screen logs or just wait for instructions from those in the know reply?
Thank you for all you have done and I am sorry to have used up so much of your time on such a frustrating problem.

Best is to explain the steps you already did (including mentioning what the repair shop concluded). Its also good to post the BlueScreen View log.

That looks good! I will close this topic now to avoid any confusion.
I hope you'll find, if not a solution for the problem, at least confirmation on what the problem might be.
