Okay. So i got a virus called Vista Antivirus 2012 on my computer. I seemed to get rid of it. But I did some weird registry command. Now my executable files don't want to work. Everytime i select one it says "The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Assosiations control panel." I don't know what that is or where to find it. Any help would be appreciated. Also i can start some .exe's up by right clicking and selecting "start." Which is new to me because I have never seen start before. It used to only be Open. Also this is the code i ran in .reg.
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.exe\shell\open\command]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\secfile\shell\open\command]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe\shell\open\command]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe]
@="exefile"
"Content Type"="application/x-msdownload"
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\secfile]
EDIT: Way to confused. I went to the Set Associations page in the control panel and .exe wasn't even under there. I'm pretty sure i just deleted it.
