I'd like to post a Hijack Log but for some reason i don't have notepad (i used to but not anymore)?? Is there any other application i can copy the log from?? Thanks in advance Crispy |

Hello again, i've downloaded these and when i run the Hijack Log it doesn't put the info into either of these notepad programmes?
Please assist, as i can't think of a way to show you clever guys what's going on in my PC!! Thanks in advance, DC |

If you would like to restore notepad go to this site. Scroll down to line 326 and download the Restore Notepad.exe tool. Hope this helps. Are you saying that you downloaded a new notepad.exe and placed it in the C:\Windows\System32 folder and it still does not work?
Or are you having a problem with the HJT program? If notepad is working OK, then redownload HJT, delete the old one and try that. Download Hijackthis 1.99.1 [self-extracting version] which will automatically let you install HJT in the proper location: http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/HJTsetup.exe -------------------- "THE BAD GUYS DON'T NEED A SEARCH WARRANT.
