Hello!!

I'd like to post a Hijack Log but for some reason i don't have notepad (i used to but not anymore)??

Is there any other application i can copy the log from??

Hello again, i've downloaded these and when i run the Hijack Log it doesn't put the info into either of these notepad programmes?

Please assist, as i can't think of a way to show you clever guys what's going on in my PC!!

If you would like to restore notepad go to this site. Scroll down to line 326 and download the Restore Notepad.exe tool. Hope this helps.

I'm afraid despite downloading all of the above programs still hasn't allowed me to save a Hijack Log File??

I'm very confused, and i'd love for you guys to help me...

Are you saying that you downloaded a new notepad.exe and placed it in the C:\Windows\System32 folder and it still does not work?

Or are you having a problem with the HJT program?

If notepad is working OK, then redownload HJT, delete the old one and try that.

Download Hijackthis 1.99.1 [self-extracting version] which will automatically let you install HJT in the proper location:
