Hi, everyone. This may be an unusual question, but many have thought about it, I'm sure.

I am not a prejudiced person, but the amount of time wasted when talking to the Phillipines or India from my current Internet Service Provider just drives me up the wall.

Does anyone know of an internet service provider company that still offers U.S.-based tech support? I honestly think I'd be willing to pay the extra. Certainly it can't ALL have gone overseas. Any ideas?

Thank You, EducatedGuess.

Roadrunner in Maine has US support. My friend lives there and she talks to Roadrunner all the time.

Most ISPs have their "business" customers on US based support/billing. If it's really worth it to you, you may consider upgrading to their business plan for $10-15 more per month.

NpaMA, thanks for responding. I'm really shopping price on ISP's, so this solution probably won't work for me, but I do thank you for responding, and I will at least check it out.

Knowing what part of the country you are in may help for determining ISP availability in your area.
In the beginning there was the command line.

EyeSee, ooops, sorry, yeah. I'm in Los Angeles. I am trying to avoid doing business with Verizon again. Right now I am trying a small local company named DLS Extreme, but I am having trouble with them and may or may not stay with them. For some reason, I get get online directly with them, but then my wireless router won't work for some reason. I have spent hours on the phone with the router company (NetGear) without fixing the problem, and even bought a second quality router from Cisco, same problem. Thanks! EducatedGuess.
