Infected with re-occuring rootkit dont know how to permenatly remove

I have scanned with malwarebytes, avira, a boot-time scan with avast, and gmer. however i alwase get a message a minute or 2 after i log in that says: MBR:\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0 hidden boot sector. also websites are constantly being blocked by anti virus programs (shows a pop window in the bottom right corner of the desktop with an ip address. also any link from a google search that has to do with virus removal and rootkit removal redirects me to b.s.. Also comp is somewhat slow, and i get ireq not less or equal (or something like that) blue screens every once in a while.

BTW: Gmer doesnt let me check any of the boxes except: services, registry, files (plus drive options), and ADS

Please print out or make a copy in notpad of any instructions given, as sometimes it is necessary to go offline and you will lose access to them.

DeFogger:

    Please download DeFogger to your desktop.

    Double click DeFogger to run the tool.
    • The application window will appear
    • Click the Disable button to disable your CD Emulation drivers
    • Click Yes to continue
    • A 'Finished!' message will appear
    • Click OK
    • DeFogger may ask you to reboot the machine, if it does - click OK

    Do not re-enable these drivers until otherwise instructed.


Download DDS:

    Please download DDS by sUBs from one of the links below and save it to your desktop:

    • Double-Click on dds.scr and a command window will appear. This is normal.

sorry, i have actually gotten help from someone else in the time i have been waiting and have removed everything using tdss-killer and other anti virus programs. The only thing i need help with nos is permanently deleting all of those toolbars.

ToolBar S&D - Search
Please disable any real-time protection running, Anti-virus, Anti-malware program as they may intefere with this scan.
Download ToolBar S&D... by Eric_71.
Save it to your desktop.
  • Double-click ToolBar S&D.exe to start the tool.
  • Choose your language, then choose option 1 - Search.
    The opened window, will turn dark red... indicating it is searching for Files, Folders ... xxxToolBar.
  • When the scan is finished... Notepad will open with a log file created, named: "%SystemDrive%\TB.txt. (Usually C:\)

Please copy and paste the contents of the %SystemDrive%\TB.txt file in your next reply.

there is not link, i got help in the #bleepingcomputer chat room from a person of whos name i cannot remember at this time. But what i did was download and run tdss-killer and it found the rootkit tdss tdl4 (a newer version of tdl3 i guess). I then made sure everything else was removed using malwarebytes and avast.

when trying to run this program on my sister's (or my) computer, after i choose search, a message briefly appears that says "the system cannot............." then the window closes before i can read the rest. I turned off avast and malwarebytes on her comp

Hello

I Would like you to do the following.

Please print out or make a copy in notpad of any instructions given, as sometimes it is necessary to go offline and you will lose access to them.

Run Combofix:

You may be asked to install or update the Recovery Console (Win XP Only) if this happens please allow it to do so (you will need to be connected to the internet for this)

Before you run Combofix I will need you to turn off any security software you have running, If you do not know how to do this you can find out >here< or >here<

Combofix may need to reboot your computer more than once to do its job this is normal.

You can download Combofix from one of these links. I want you to save it to the desktop and run it from there.

1. Close any open browsers or any other programs that are open.
2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a report for you.

Note 1: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall

Note 2: If you recieve an error "Illegal operation attempted on a registery key that has been marked for deletion." Please restart the computer
