BleepingComputer.com: Not Computer wise and need major help

Here's the deal. I have small business and use appointment setting software. It's a pretty big program. I installed in on an OLD (maybe 6 years old)emachine desktop.... OMG!!!!!!! This thing is so slow and freezes up on me and I can't run two programs at once. It's driving my nuts! Do I waste my time and money adding RAM or do I just get a new computer. OK...if I go with a new computer, here is the delima... I'm on a very limited budget and this is what I need in a computer..
Internet Browsing
Large Software Program
Printer Software
Photoshop Program
Microsoft Works Program
Antivirus
and I would like to play happy aquarium and farmville on occasion

Desk top or laptop, does not matter. What do I need?

It is your choice if you want a desktop or laptop. You would get a laptop if you have less space for a desktop. Also what is your budget?

If you're a person who is on-the-go, for the most part, it makes sense to invest in a good laptop.

Most entry-mid level laptops with a Quadcore processor and 4GB of RAM should be able to handle your requirements. With laptops, display (screen) size is also important, so be sure to check out some laptops at a store near you.

Once you have some general specifications (system requirements) in mind, post back and we'll help you out!

You need...to be more definitive about how much you want to spend.

The tasks you do are pretty mundane...Photoshop is not a freebie program, you need to shop for what you want...ditto for MS Works, although I don't know why anyone wants to pay for that when there free office suites available (Open Office, LibreOffice, etc.).
