My computer refuses to Boot Up. When the switch is depressed the computer goes into the "Start UP" screen that displays various start up options and then goes back to the beginning after displaying the Windows Logo..no matter which option is selected...When the "safe mode" is selected the computer loads various files and then requests a password..
Pressing Del or F1 to go into CMOS to change start up options to start from CD ..no response..the machine simply goes into a loop to the Windows start screen.
Would this be a hardware or a software problem?
Any solutions?
The computer is an Intel Core Two CPU in an MSI Mother Board
Windows XP pro operating system.

What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

There is something in your first post I didn't quite understand. Are you saying you can't get into bios? Are you sure you are pressing the correct key(s) to enter bios?
