Are you thinking of a free Antivirus or a paid one?

I'd prefer a free one.

AVG has last its position since long. Among the free ones at the moment Avast and Microsoft Security Essentials are the best. You should now it but no harm to emphasize that not more than one antivirus (beside antimalware antispyware programs) should be installed and run on the system.
