Hi, new-comer here. Just lost my resident IT-guy as he was 23 and it was time to move out of mom's (my) house.
Anyway, he's been gone a couple of months now, and is rarely available to assist with comp problems.
I have been reading around a bit, currently following the procedure to prepare for malware removal assistance. I must say you guys are very thorough here. It seems rather daunting to me to remove this stuff so, to me, you guys/gals are heroes! I'm sure it is posted somewhere, but is the assistance given completely voluntary? If so, Bravo!
I tried to enlist the help of my son, (finishing his degree in computer software engineering), he basically said to check you guys out as he has never had a virus/malware on his comp. Although he has removed them for me before, he says it is not his area of expertise... sigh!... However, I am ready to adopt you all if you can help me out!
Thanks!
... going to do the steps for malware removal now as posted on this site. Wish me luck!
