BleepingComputer.com: DVD won't read my discs

In about the last year to a year and a half I've had problems with my dvd drive. With any dvds that I burn my drive will only sporadically read them. I'll put a dvd with data on it and sometimes it reads it and loads the information (albeit slowly), but sometimes when I insert a dvd disc it will read for a few seconds and then a prompt will come up basically suggesting me to write information to it. It's not picking up the data that's on the disc. Sometimes it will work for a specific disc but when I eject it and try to insert it and have it be read again it won't. I've never had this problem with any of my cds.

Any ideas?

Try a lens cleaner yet?
