Help
Ok so the house i currently live in runs off of "via rhine ii fast ethernet adapter" and i want to hook my Netgear Wireless-G Router WGR614v10 up to this so i can have my desktop,laptop and xobxo run off of the wireless. i have tried many times to hook it up. Ive tried to plug it into the modem and then into the wall hookup but nothing. ive tried so many ways nothing is working my laptop says its connected but the internet bar shows full bars then a triangle with a exclimation in it. what do i need to do to hook the router up

First thing I would check is to make sure that all your drivers are updated.
Please perform the following, so that we can get the exact specs of your computer. This will better assist us in helping you more.

Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.
Checkmark following checkboxes:

You will need to get a crossover cable to connect the router to the modem.
My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

The Ethernet adapter listed in your first post is the one installed on your computer. What you need to do is find the actual modem and connect this to the WAN (yellow) port on the router with the included crossover Ethernet cable. Then you should be able to connect to the router via wireless. When you connected before and you had full signal strength it was connected to the router but the router did not have an Internet connection.
Edit: Brain Fart the router is connected to the modem with a Crossover cable like Dan said
