I'm looking to upgrade to a new laptop computer, and what i want is a quadcore processor, 7200rpm hard drive, dedicated graphics card, and at least 4-6gb of memory.
I can't seem to find a PC Laptop that looks even remotely like what I want. I have been a pc user for years, and am used to the windows operating system. I do a lot of graphic
work with photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver, etc. Is there a PC laptop out there that looks as good without being so bulky and geared towards "gamers" ?? I am not a gamer. I
want to do graphic work. please help. Oh and by the way, i am looking for a 15.6" screen size.

I don't personally recommend HP's way to many issues with them over heating and the video cards going out on them.

My work schedule is as follows: Mon and Tues 1800 to 0600, Friday - Sunday 1800EST to 0600, and Wednesday to Thursday 1800est to 0600. So if I do not respond right away I am at work.

I already have an HP DV5 laptop and that's thing I don't like about it (runs hot, and the fan kicks on all the time -- i'm sick of hearing it). When shopping for it, I really liked the way the new HP laptops looked. I wasn't wanting to spend the extra money at the time for a dedicated graphics card, and now I wish I had. On the new MacBook Pros with the quadcore, I wonder if those have dedicated graphics cards...?

Just for the record, your macbooks use intel CPUs as well, so a intel based PC would be on par with a macbook in most areas except for the OS.

I really don't think Apple will use AMD's processor.
