Hi

Turned computer on and started disabling anti-virus. Diabled firewall then computer crashed. Since then the computer appears to boot ok but as soon as you try and do anything it immediately crashes again.

Can't do anything at all.

Hi

No. i have microsoft works discs, office 2003 disc and a dell drivers disc but not an xp disc. I'm not sure we ever had one as I'm usually good at keeping important stuff.

Hello Martha

considering the problems you are having and not having any of the install disks I think the best thing you could do is to reinstall windows

If you give me the type of computer you have I will find out if it has a restore partition to reinstall the os

you can use the usb we made to remove any files you may wish to keep

Hi

Thanks for all your help but I am now wondering that given the problems with this computer whether it may be time to buy a new one.

It is 4/5 years old and the malware has obviously caused alot of damage.

Probably a stupid question but how do I access files on it with the USB?

Martha
